Burial: Aft. 24 October 1878, IOOF Cemetery, Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia.

She married Luther Haymond 06 June 1878 in Harrison County, West Virginia2; born 1809 in Harrison County, (West) Virginia. At their marriage he was age 69. She was his second wife, age 45.

6 v. Mary Gittings, born Abt. 1849. She married Mr. Henry A. Fernald Abt. 1893; born Abt. 1840 in Maine.
In 1910 Harrison County, Henry A. Fernald was ang 70, married for 17 years, Mary G. was age 50, no children and Columbia E. Thorn, widow, was age 4, 2 children, 2 living.

In 1920 Henary a. Fernald was ag e80 living on Woodland Avenue. Mary G. was age 60 and Columbia E. Thorn was age 58.

In her will Madisonia Gittings Haymond made arrangements for a tombstone for her sister Alice who was buried in Marietta, Ohio. This child could be Mary Alice who was born in 1849 or their could have been a child Mary and a child Alice? Perhaps she is buried near the Meigs grandparents?

Burial: Aft. 11 February 1920, IOOF Cemetery, Clarksburg, Harrison County, West Virginia. She married John “Jack” W. Thorn 09 December 1874 in Harrison County, (West) Virginia3, son of John Thorn and Elizabeth. He was born 1849 in Preston County, West Virginia.
Her marriage record gives her birthplace and Papers at the Vance House in Clarksburg say she was buried at IOOF Cemetery.
In 1910 and 1920 she was living with her sister Mary in Clarksburg, WV.
Children of Columbia Gittings and John Thorn are:
