Jean Louise Jackson, 80, of Frenchton[,WV], passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at her home. She was born Oct. 14, 1932, in Webster County, a daughter of the late Emory L. and Pearl Winona McNemar Leaseburge.
On March 13, 1954, she married James Minter Jackson, who preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1983.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Casto; and twobrothers, Gerald Leaseburge and Kenneth Leaseburge.
She is survived by three children, James Randall Jackson of Frenchton, Russell Wayne Jackson and, wife, Betsy, of Frenchton and Terry Lynn Karickho and husband, Jay, of Buckhannon; six grandchildren, Amy Jackson, Dustin Jackson and wife, Randi, Elizabeth Jackson Tolliver and husband, Brad, Chris Jackson, Stacy Karickho and Lisa Karickho; three great-grandchildren, Breyer and Carly Jackson and Hannah Tolliver; three brothers, Edson Leaseburge and wife, Shirley, of Florida, James D. Leaseburge and wife, Judith, of Buckhannon and Emory J. Leaseburge and wife, Elaine, of Lewisburg; two sisters, Delores Henline of Buckhannon and Mary Duncan and husband, Bob, of Portland, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and long time teacher’s aide at Rock Cave Elementary School and East Main Elementary School until her retirement.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel in Buckhannon, where memorial services will begin at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Butcher officiating.
