Stories from my youth. By Bill Jackson
My brothers and I were good marble shooters and we always ended the summer with a lot of marbles. When I was in the sixth grade, I won the marble championship at Alta Vista Elementary school and had dreams of going to Wildwood, NJ for the national championship but I was defeated locally and my dreams went up in smoke.
We had a marble factory in Clarksburg, WV and we would go to the marble dump for bad marbles and you could always find a few good marbles.
