I received word from Nancy Jackson that her brother William Andrew “Bill” Jackson died early in the morning of May 28, 2024 at age 99 years. He is being cremated and a private ceremony will be later. He is a descendant of Col. Edward Jackson and, also, John Jackson Jr. He was Nancy’s youngest brother and her last sibling to live. Bill was born April 12, 1925 in Charleston, WV and was a WWII Navy veteran. During WWII, he served in the Pacific on the battleship USS Colorado.
After his military service, he taught Chemistry, Math and Science at a high school in Ohio. He later worked for IBM for many years.
We are all sorry for Nancy’s loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and her family. Bill was a good man!
